Our other breeding project.....

A few years age we came across Maine Coon cats and we were smitten.  Be warned they are addictive.  An American breed, they are much larger and friendlier than the usual domestic cats.  They are sometimes described as a cross between a cat and a dog in temperament and love human company.  They are quite happy to live with dogs.

We even had a kitten who tried to suckle our dog not only getting the wrong species but also the wrong sex. The dog did not seem to mind.

The females are much smaller than the males who can grow to 22 pounds – the size of a small dog. Their glory is their tails which should be the same length as their body and are so bushy that the Americans originally thought they were a cross between a cat and a raccoon.  Kiffin (pictured right) is showing off his magnificent tail.

Coons come in many different colours so everyone can find a Coon of their favourite colour

We occasionally have pedigree Coon kittens for sale if you are interested or would like to know more about these amazing cats please contact us.

The kittens on the left are from the Jan 09 litter and are a blue silver tabby and a red and white classic tabby who may also be silver (so his coat would have a shimmer rather than being a flat colour).  Both are super 'dog friendly ' kittens who love to curl up with the dogs and go to sleep!

Here are some of our kittens from the March 08 litter (all now sold) ......

And their parents together and father 'assisting' with the email!!
